MAPS OF BASILICATA
Preface: The initial phase of immigration from the Basilicata region to the United States covers a thirty-eight year period from approximately 1850-1888. While thousands of San Felese immigrated during this period, their exodus was part of a larger regional event. Going forward there will be many instances where the regional nature of the immigration will become evident from the documentation we have gathered. To help the average reader, who may not be familiar the identity of the region’s towns and villages we are adding these maps as an easy reference tool.
